CBG Shinai Limited Warranty
Shinai, bamboo or composite fencing swords, due to their very nature as striking implements, are susceptible to breakage from their first use. Technique and the force applied by the user, the condition or area upon which strikes are made, and strikes delivered by opponents against one’s own shinai may inflict micro-damaging, or result in gross catastrophic damage rendering the shinai unusable.
Neither Chiba Budougu, Ltd., nor the manufacturers of the shinai assume any liability for damage or failure of shinai, or personal injury resulting from the use of shinai.
Shinai that suffer from any shortcoming in workmanship will be considered for replacement after return and evaluation by Chiba Budougu, Ltd..
Cancellation/Returns
All orders are treated as custom-orders. Orders normally require from six, up to 10 or more weeks to produce. Materials are cut from raw stock according to specifications for each individual customer.
Full payment is required at time of order.
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellation of firm orders will be processed according to the following service charge refund schedule:
Within 7 days of reciept of order: 85 percent of billed amount.
Eight days to 14 days after receipt of order: 65 percent of billed amount.
Fifteen days after receipt of order: 50 percent of billed amount.
Please understand that all orders are custom orders, with materials cut to customer's specific requirements, and parts ordered and assembled for each individual order.
Refunds can be made in the form of a credit to the customer's credit card account, or as a in-store credit that may be applied to future purchases.
Return Policy - Simple Return:
Items may be returned under the condition that they are unused and are in like-new condition, including tags and packaging. A 50 percent restocking charge will be applied, and refund of balance can be made in the form of a credit to the customer's credit card account, or as a in-store credit that may be applied to future purchases.
Return freight charges are for the account of the customer.
Return Policy - Return for Replacement of Goods:
Items may be returned for replacement, in cases where a different size or color may be desired. Items may be returned under the condition that they are unused and are in like-new condition, including tags and packaging.
Return freight charges, and charges for delivery of replacement goods are for the account of the customer, and will be made as an additional charge.
